Wedding Fitness tips
Your wedding day will be one of the most unforgettable moments of your life—but between planning, work, and everything else, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and let your own health slip to the bottom of the list.
The good news? With a few simple strategies- you can feel strong, confident, and radiant as you walk down the aisle.
Here are some of my favorite tips to help brides-to-be stay consistent, boost confidence, and enjoy a stress-free wedding prep routine:
1. Stay Consistent (even when you aren’t motivated)
Starting a workout isn’t the hard part—staying consistent is. When wedding planning takes over your calendar, these strategies help keep your routine doable:
Treat workouts like appointments. Put them on your calendar and honor them like a dress fitting or vendor meeting. 3-4 focused sessions a week is enough to see progress (and we don’t need to spend hours in the gym to do so)
Balance strength with stress relief. Pair strength training with restorative activities like walking, yoga, or mobility work to keep your body feeling its best.
Find an accountability buddy. Someone to help push you, encourage you, and make it something you look forward to.
2. Build Confidence Through Strength and Self-Care
Looking toned is a bonus, but true confidence comes from how your body feels and functions leading up to your big day. Fitness and wellness together help you:
Build strength and energy so you feel powerful, not drained
Improve posture and presence so you stand tall and carry yourself with ease
Manage stress with movement, breathing, and recovery routines
Trust your body because you know it’s capable and prepared
When your workouts and wellness habits support both your body and mind, you’ll show up to your wedding day not just looking amazing, but feeling calm, centered, and confident.
3. Don’t waste your time during your workout.
The right exercises will help you look and feel amazing without spending endless hours in the gym. Here are a few to prioritize:
Glute bridges & hip thrusts – Lift and shape your glutes for a flattering silhouette.
Plank variations – Build core strength for posture and stability.
Dumbbell rows & shoulder presses – We love a strong + lean upper body look in a dress.
Squats & lunges – Strengthen legs and boost endurance for dancing and long days.
Yoga or mobility flows – Relieve stress and improve flexibility for a graceful, confident walk down the aisle.
4. Yes, it’s okay to want to slim down- but make it intentional + without crash dieting
Many brides want to drop a few pounds before their big day—and that’s completely normal. But the approach matters. The last thing you want is to walk down the aisle feeling more stressed, tired, and depleted than excited.
Instead of extreme diets or quick fixes, focus on:
Balanced meals with lean protein, fiber-rich carbs, and healthy fats to fuel your body
Moderate calorie adjustments that support fat loss without draining your energy
Hydration and sleep as key parts of your wellness routine
Remember: your wedding prep is about looking your best and feeling vibrant, confident, and fully present.
